HELP ME HELP OTHERS
Together we can help make a difference in lives of people who truly need our support!
Storytelling and videos have the power to inform, to raise awareness
about human experiences and issues, and to rally people around a cause.
AND I AM ASKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP ME PRODUCE A SERIES OF VIDEOS THAT CAN HAVE A DIRECT AND TANGIBLE IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
Background / Current Scenario:
As we all know, much of the world has been hit hard by a global pandemic that unleashed its full fury in 2020. Here in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where I’ve been based since 2017, the impact of this past year and a half has been devastating.
As a city, and a beautiful community that relies heavily on tourists and visitors (largely seeking a glimpse of the nearby Angkor Archeological Park) to fuel the local economy - this pandemic, restrictions of movement, gatherings, and international travel bans, have had a profound and heartbreaking impact on the lives of those who once worked tirelessly to help create and ensure beautiful experiences and memories for the millions of people who visited their city.
Thousands of local residents have now lost their jobs, and therefore their sources of income with little or no support. Many are struggling emotionally, to pay their bills, to put food on the table while falling deeper and deeper into despair and poverty.
TOGETHER, WE CAN HELP!
Within this tragedy, however, there also exist inspiring stories of incredible resilience, of selfless compassion towards others, and a will to remain focused on the day that all of this will be over. They consist of groups and individuals who serve as beacons of hope within their distressed communities - and they deserve our support.

My Goal & Objective:
My goal as an independent journalist and filmmaker is to create a series of intimate videos that I hope will have a strong and immediate potential to help those in urgent need of wider support to help ensure their community's survival during this incredibly difficult period.
First, by producing videos that will help raise awareness about the particular stories and struggles, and second, to provide them with content that can support their own fundraising efforts.
Why I Need Your Support:
Since As a one-woman-crew filmmaker, I've devoted the past 12 years of my life and 98% of my work to my profound labour of love. With no formal form of funding, I've been documenting the voices and stories of overlooked and often neglected people and communities around the world, alone since 2009.
